If I was Ryan Moats, I would've killed someone ...

Oh dear what a terrible shame. There was a black Premier League Footballer questioned in London with a friend recently - the reason - they were looking "shifty" by standing looking at an expensive jewellery store window! They earn more in a week than the officer would in 2 years! Some police really do put race relations back 40 years sadly. However the few are outnumbered by the many fortunately.

I can see where the officer is coming from. Not saying that he was right in this case but I have seen people say they have an emergency just to get out of a ticket or to keep from getting arrested. Moats was acting out of control ( which I would have been the same way) and the officer was just doing his job. That officer can't help it that he didn't know what was going on and what was the truth or not. I'm sorry that Moats didn't get to say his last good-bye to his mother in law.

He was stopped in the hospital parking lot. Obviously Moats was distressed, and if the cop didnt believe him, he should have escorted him into the hospital himself.

here is the video. Did not click the link above.

I would have killed the officer.

This video shows it in a different light but I still think that the officer was just doing his job. I know that if it was my mother or mother in law in the hospital dying I won't leave. My sister in law is going through the same thing right now with a love one dying in the hospital and they haven't left the hospital in about a week now! they were told this morning that he won't live pass 48 hours so they are staying in the hospital to make sure they can say their good byes!

I can't believe Moats was able to control himself. If that was me I would have told the officer to come with me and he can write me a ticket while I am saying goodbye. My great-grandmother is in a similar situation. She has cancer (small cell carcinoma) and it is only a matter of time before she dies. She practically raised me as a child (dad in coast guard, mom working and going to school) and if any person got in my way when I get a call saying she is about to go, I will run them over. No one is going to make me miss saying goodbye.

Lets assume the doctors said she has 1 month to live. Would you stay the whole month? Im unsure whether they have kids or not, but if they do, I know they are infants. Staying everyday is not feasible. So when things take a turn for the worst, and you get a phone call 2-3 weeks ahead of time, what else can you do.

Serious abuse of authority by that police officer. Police officers with "power" issues need to be fired. Moats handled himself well, but that officer is a jerk.
