Cam Newton/awbs may be in trouble......

Multiple AU insiders who are always dead on say he is playing tomorrow and that Auburn fans need to stop being such pussies. I conquer.

AU beat writer just confirmed it.

Looks like cecil is taking the fall and that the ncaa is cool with it. when newton plays tomorrow, that will pretty much seal the deal.

I don't see how the NCAA can be "cool with it" when rules were clearly broken. I guess only time will tell though.

this.

Then again there are a bunch of clear violations at UNC that nothing has been acted on yet.

Hell, they didn't do anything about The Whitney either.

if cam didn't know what was happening, which rules were "clearly" broken? is it a clear violation for a dad to talk about money to a school without the kid's knowledge (i.e., not on the kid's behalf)?

if the ncaa recommended to the school to sit newton tomorrow, he will sit. if not, this is pretty much over for auburn, but not for mississippi state.

I just find it hard to believe that Cam didn't know if it happened, but how do you prove that?

When a FAMILY MEMBER tries with AN AGENT to get money for their son, that is an UNBELIEVABLY BLATANT NCAA violation.

Cam Newton is INELIGIBLE no matter what he thought was going on. It is cut and clear. His own father tried to sell him. Doesn't matter WHO TO, he is INELIGIBLE.

And yes, it is crystal clear that it's an NCAA violation for a father to solicit money on behalf of his son.

I cannot believe that anyone would think he did not know about it. Big time college football always has been and always will be dirty. I do not blame Newton or the schools, just the way it is. The NCAA is a bunch of hypocrites anyway. Every major college has stuff like this going on to some level.
