something i thought about

Absolutely NO fine or suspension should be given. I don't care about either team, but he was leading with his shoulder and his helmet happened to hit McGahee's a split second before the shoulder.

If you fine this play, you might as well fine every hit that a DB lays on the offense in the future.

Back to the original post: You ask if they should give the ball back to an injured player who fumbles. But if the player fumbles but isn't injured, then he shouldn't get the ball back, right? In that case, wouldn't EVERY player who fumbles fake an injury in order to get the ball back?? Just something to think about.

a fumble is a fumble, no matter how crushing the hit is, or whether or not the player gets hurt.....the steelers and ravens are always a violent match up, I was surprised there weren't more people carted off.....that is probably one of my favorite match ups to watch......but remember, football is a violent sport, that's why girls don't play the game ;)
