Interesting: Not one bad or even average year among the elite programs when they have decent coaching.

10-2 with a BCS bowl. Pre-season prediction was 9-3, can not believe how well we have played so far. We look like a football team for the first time since 2002.

He may be somewhat of a douchebag at times, but there are things that Saban has done for players off the field that no one outside of Alabama fans notice that are downright remarkable. Not to mention all his donations to the university's general scholarship fund. Saban has done more for Alabama, both on and off the field, than anyone since Coach Bryant (minus Gene Stallings).

I left out Spurrier at S. Carolina since they aren't considered a top program. But he went 3-5 in Year 2.
