Possibly one of the odder decisions the Patriots made all year during this awesome season, but I don't think it will turn out to hurt them in the long run. While it is going to take a little R&R away from the team, I don't think thats bad. There have been way to many instances of teams that got a week off during the playoffs to come back playing stiff and rigid and basically shoot themselves in the foot.

Yeah I'm not sure it will damage them any more than the injuries to the rest of the team have. Still think they're a contender going into the playoffs.
