The reason: illegal contact with an agent

A lot of rumors going around over what actually happened, but the strongest rumor at the moment is a freakin' family member got a free trip to New Orleans from an agent :doh:

If a family member is the reason Smith is being suspended, that really sucks for him.

There have been rumors for a couple of weeks that at the end of the season he will either transfer or go on medical scholarship. That's all I've heard involving him. Haven't seen anything new on Tider Insider or Bama Online today.
