I think that the card companies having the contract with certain player kinda kills it for me.Example Jordan with Upper Deck.While talking to a guy on another site the subject of Jordan came up.Yes I have one but they only put out 20 different auto sets with him in it.Gretzky just signed with Upper Deck too. Maybe they should worry more about getting rights back to teams and a little less of just major players.

lots of players sign exclusive contracts, Kobe, Jordan, Ichiro, Griffey were all UD Exclusive for awhile

little known fact, Lynn Swann refused to sign with Topps in 2002

also hate redemptions that are never filled, 2005 Exquisite Cedric Houston anyone?

Exclusive contracts with players is nothing new. Even during the vintage years some of the big names had exclusives.
