Free agent guard Delonte West(notes) has signed with the Boston Celtics, according to CSNNE.com.
West's signing was confirmed to CSNNE.com by general manager Danny Ainge.
West played the first three seasons of his career with the Celtics before moving on to the Sonics and then the Cavaliers. Boston will not have West at their disposal immediately at the beginning of the season thanks a 10-game suspension. West was suspended for pleading guilty to carrying a concealed weapon and wearing, carrying, and transporting a handgun, in violation of the law of the State of Maryland.
Last season with the Cavaliers, West averaged 7.4 points and 2.9 assists in a reserve role.
