My Graphing Thread

That David Tyree is awesome! Too bad his full body (legs included) weren't in color. I think that would've made the photo pop a little more. Still very cool to get his auto on that picture, though. Congrats!

Well this past weekend was up in the air. Mets had their final home series and the Marlins happened to be in Philly for their final series. I wanted to try to catch a game in each venue but weather changed things. I ended up just going to the finale in Philly, even though it was more important for me to graph at Citi.

Inside all I got was Chad Billingsley on 2 cards. There was no BP because they played a doubleheader but a few Phillies were out signing. Ichiro came out to warmup but unfortunately he never came over. At least it wasn't as crowded as at Citi few weeks ago. I did get a ball too, made a nice catch. I don't need no stinking glove. And at one point when I went to get a drink, a foul ball came a couple feet away from me lol. After the game I came close to getting a Marlins cap and some batting gloves. Ryan Howard actually came over to the Marlins dugout to throw his cap, jersey etc to us, I didn't really have a shot. But wow Citizens Bank is better than Citi in almost every aspect. After the game I decided to wait around for players as they left.

Pretty interesting game. Some hawk fell onto foul territory during the game and Ichiro made an appearance on the mound. As both teams were departing, I was unable to get Brett Butler, Kyle Barraclaugh & Derek Dietrich. I forgot I needed Bryan Morris on the 2014 and I couldn't get Lenny Harris's attention. From Philly I was close to getting Chase D'Arnaud and Aaron Nola. Will have to see what's next. Could graph this weekend, few former NY Giants in the area. Thanks for reading.

Yesterday I went to another one of those Giants signings. I chose to go for O.J. Anderson. I met him 3 years ago but this time I had something better.

He was really pleased to see a pic of him from The U. He wrote that on his own. Also got him to sign one of the blanks for a friend. Out of the people in front of me, I had probably the fewest things for him to sign lol. Then last night I went to see a couple of former NJ Devils.

We didn't stay the entire time, got them in the final minutes. They were the only 2 to stop and sign. There wasn't even a big crowd. Well I found out about a signing last night. A few former Jets (finally!) were making an appearance at a Modell's. The great Mark Gastineau, Glenn Foley & Fred Baxter. Didn't have much for the other 2, but I remembered something I had that those 2 might be pictured on...

When Gastineau arrived, he started chanting J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS and was acting like the hypeman. I've never seen a guy that enthusiastic at a signing, it was so awesome to see. And Foley & Baxter really liked seeing the poster I brought in. Too bad I didn't get a picture with them. Well have to see what I do next. Chance I graph after the Devils/Canucks game Sunday. There had to be at least 30 Penguin fans around. The Devils won 4-0 and apparently the Penguins had a players-only meeting. Which is why it took longer than usual for them to come out. Nobody came over to sign. However I found out later that this guy and his kid were able to get Kunitz & Letang, and maybe one or 2 others. For the Devils, others that also signed were Kalinin and Gelinas. Up next, might do Coyotes tomorrow, maybe goto the game, no idea. Tuesday Hornets come in. Thanks for reading.

Had nothing for Weatherford, got a couple of things signed for my friend. DiPietro was awesome. I bet he was happy we went over to him because Weatherford was getting all the attention. He was looking at the 8x10 and trying to see who else signed it. And he saw what I think was Okposo's auto and he's like "looks like someone drew a dick or something. I'm gonna draw some boobs in my sig." But no he was just kidding lol. But he was really nice, even blew down on each card after signing. Thanks for reading.
