My Graphing Thread

Hey guys. Next time I graph may be Sunday for my 2nd attempt with the Sharks. But I do have something to show. Remember I got Dale Jr about 3 weeks ago? Well here it is printed:

That's nice! Turned out awesome!

Thanks Mike. For my first NASCAR auto, it's cool for it to be Dale Jr.

Sharks are playing the Rangers for their final metropolitan trip. Did well.

I was a little late, missed Thornton, Pavelski and Larry Robinson. Man Burns is the toughest signer on the team. Only signed a couple leaving the arena couple weeks ago and heard didn't sign yesterday. At least he signed for everyone today. Few players I don't recall seeing. Saw Stalock but forgot I had cards for him. Nice day though. Up next, chance I do the Pacers on Weds. Devils have a few home games this week too. Thanks for reading.

Jr is a tough one to get at the tracks when we use to run the modified series at Martinsville with the cup series I met him in the restroom hard to ask for an autograph that way even awkward to shake hands after. Pretty cool to talk racing with though.

Not a graphing update here. Bought my first pack of 2014 baseball cards yesterday. Thought I'd share for the hell of it. First 2014 card is....Darwin Barney. The rest: Carlos Gomez, Torii Hunter, Miggy Cabrera 2013 Highlights, Anibal Sanchez/Colon/Iwakuma ERA leaders, Yadier /2014, Pettitte Super Veteran, Anthony Rizzo, Oswaldo Arcia, Chris Getz, Bruce Rondon & Puig All-Star Rookie.

Another update of the same. Thought about graphing the Flyers today but didn't end up going. It was a little cold but very windy. Didn't even know where they are staying, didn't try looking. So I went to A&P today and on my way out decided to get something from the vending machine. Saw a pack of 1992 Action Packed All-Madden Team cards for 50 cents.

Pat Swilling, Clay Matthews, Seth Joyner, Eric Allen, Emmitt Smith, Ronnie Lott

Wonder how much a 6-card pack of these went for in '92. 2.99?

Well last night I graphed after the Devils/Coyotes game. Kinda sucked for me.

Ribeiro 2/2
Tyson Nash 2/2
Mikkel Boedker 2/2
Yandle 8x10

Got a little crowded later but was in front. Wasn't able to get Kyle Chipchura, Vrbata, Michalek, Doan. I should've been able to get Doan...Few others didn't sign. Near the end it was too much, unsure of some of the others that signed. Not much by the Devils side, couldn't stay the whole time. Couple guys stopped, got one:

Dainius Zubrus 1/1

I'd say my worst hockey session of the year. I thought about graphing in the city today. Cavs had a game against the Nets, but I had another reason to go. UConn/Iowa St are playing tonight and then Michigan St and Virginia afterwards. Buddy of mine told me where UConn were gonna be and that former coach Jim Calhoun was there too. The times the Cavs and Huskies would be leaving are at similar times. Also would've wanted to see if I had a chance to get Tom Izzo. But rain is in the forecast for today so decided to skip on everything. My next day may be Sunday, Wolves are in town for the Nets. Also the Elite 8 game is that day, just have to see which 2 teams advance. Also another possibility, Mets host the Nationals on Monday for Opening Day. Could check out the Nats a little on Sunday. Have to see what I end up doing, thanks for reading.

Well I ended up doing no graphing over the weekend. Rain most of the weekend. Last night I graphed the Florida Panthers, wasn't able to try for the Devils. Unfortunately Luongo didn't travel with the Panthers so that was a big blow.

Sean Bergenheim 1/1
Dan Ellis 2/2
Broadcaster Randy Moller 1/1
Dmitry Kulikov 2/2
Brian Campbell 2/2
Jovanovski 8x10
Asst coach Brian Skrudland 1/1

Fleischmann, Upshall and John Madden were a few I recall that didn't sign. I could've gotten Scott Gomez but I forgot to pull my stuff for him. Tomorrow the Knicks host the Nets so might graph the Nets. Not sure though, was a little sick when I graphed Florida last night. I'm recovering so we'll have to see. Thanks for reading.

Ok I did the Hurricanes today, did good. Wish I could've gotten more of the others. Also the Yankees had a day game against the Orioles so I thought maybe I'd have a chance to catch the Orioles when they return, but weren't at the same hotel.

Coach John MacLean 1/1
Head coach Kirk Muller 2/2
Coach Brind'Amour 8x10
Cam Ward 2/2
Jeff Skinner 8x10
Semin 2/2
Eric Staal 8x10

Brind'Amour doesn't sign on the Cup. Wish I was able to find photos for MacLean, Muller and Francis. I missed/was too slow for Ron Francis, Anton Khudobin, Nathan Gerbe, Loktionov, Malhotra and Jordan Staal. Happy I got all the 8x10s done. Up next for me, not sure. Might do Sabres Thursday. Devils/Islanders play Friday and Red Sox play too. Thanks for reading.

Decided to go after the Mets at Citi today. Did ok. More people than I expected there, quite a few.

Added Anthony Recker, Carlos Torres, Andrew Brown, Scott Rice, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Kyle Farnsworth, Gonzalez Germen, Jenrry Mejia, Eric Young Jr, Daniel Murphy, Ruben Tejada & Curtis Granderson to this season's team 8x10
Added Tejada to the 2013 8x10

God Carlos, you are killing me with the size of that sig lol. There were around 30 people there...ugh... Couldn't get Dice-K (should've been able to) or Jose Valverde. Wright, Harvey, Wheeler, D'Arnaud, Colon, Ike & Duda were some that didn't sign. Didn't really see any Braves. Up next, idk. Mets play the Cardinals next week. Marlins and Angels come in for weekend series, I'll probably go to a Marlins game. Nets host the Raptors for Game 3 on Friday but don't think I'd go. Thanks for reading.

Well I did my Marlins today, did well. Got a nice start on this year's item. Angels were also in town for the Yanks.

Added Dan Jennings, Coach Mike Redmond, Mike Dunn, Saltalamacchia, Yelich, McGehee, Solano, Hechavarria, Marmol, Tom Koehler & Cishek on the 2014 8x10

Coach Brett Butler 2/2 (Really nice)
Stanton 8x10
McGehee 1/1
Marmol 1/1

Doesn't happen much that I have a nice time graphing baseball, happy I got one of the big ones. There were a few players I didn't really try to go after. Fernandez & Jeff Mathis didn't sign. Mostly 2 of us there, peaked at around 10 people. I left an hour earlier than I expected, but there were a few more players still there. I decided to check out the Angels and see who was waiting over there. I wasn't prepared, didn't gather my things (I should've). I only saw a couple players/coaches. Jered Weaver signed, tried to get him on a baseball but I couldn't...
So tomorrow I'm going to the game, not doing much graphing. Mariners and Rays come in next week, probably won't go after them. Thanks for reading.

Hey guys. I'm still alive... I have to admit something. In early May I got shutout for the first time in over 4 years. I went for the Penguins before a Rangers playoff game and just wasn't able to get anyone, some guys did sign. I remember I waited about 1 1/2-2 hours for Mario Lemieux to come out after the team left, he'd been previously signing, but didn't this time. Also I didn't know Tie Domi was there too but I didn't think of getting him to sign a blank... Well anyway I finally got around to some graphing yesterday. Been about a month and a half since I last graphed. I haven't gone that long since late 2011...mostly because the NBA lockout was going on then. It's NBA Draft Week and the Athletics were in town to face the Mets. Some of the prospects had signings around Times Square. But first, the A's:

Pitching coach Curt Young 2/2
Cespedes 1/1
Kazmir on mini helmet (Should've pointed out to sign on the brim...)

IMG_20140624_214709_335_zps9dd47501.jpg

It was a little rough. Only others to sign were Sean Doolittle, coach Melvin & Sogard. Sonny Gray signed for only 1. I should've printed for Kazmir, was hesitant because he was slated to pitch that night. So after that, went on my way for the prospects. Stopped by the hotel for a little then decided which signings to go after. Marcus Smart was at Lids from 5-6 and Wiggins was at Champs from 6-7. Aaron Gordon and Noah Vonleh were also signing during those times elsewhere. Wanted to try for Smart and then Wiggins but thought I may not have enough time for Wiggins. Turns out I could've but I went with the safe choice.

Andrew Wiggins 8x10 (Thought about it, but I should've used my gold instead)
After that, headed back to the hotel. Could've went in line for Vonleh but someone told me McDermott would be checking in soon.

Nik Stauskas on blank 4x6
McDermott 8x10

Was nice I was able to get them there, they have signings today. McDermott racked. Signed for a few minutes. He grabbed someone's blue and ran with it. I needed gold for mine and I asked early if he could switch and I said I'll wait near the end if that's alright. And he did, he was so nice. As for other players after I did the A's: Wasn't able to get Dante Exum, Elfrid Payton & Rodney Hood. Tyler Ennis, Julius Randle, Shabazz Napier, Aaron Gordon & Gary Harris didn't sign. Also saw Bob Lanier, wouldn't do it. Bad autograph per hour ratio yesterday. Up next for me? I don't know. Rays come to town next week. Maybe I'll go to a Mets/Rangers game next weekend. Thanks for reading.

Sorry to hear about your off day, but glad to see you getting back into the groove here. Have you done the NBA draft before? I really figured all of those young guys would be out signing autographs trying to get in the good graces of all the fans early.

Good luck at the Rangers/Mets game, if you do go. Will you try to ink any Rangers players, too, or just the Mets?

Thanks it was nice graphing again, but not to do it all day. I did it last year too, and 2 years ago for like 30 min...haha. Most of the guys are tough to get, mainly because of their escorts when they are coming and going from the hotel. Has gotten tougher the past few years. I had to get Wiggins because who knows if I'd get him again. Guy didn't even sign before getting into college I heard...gonna be a tough graph in the NBA.

If I go to the Mets game, I will try for both teams, will probably be a waste at the hotel.

Well I went after the Mets today. Did ok, got some good ones and tough ones to come by.

Lucas Duda on 2014 & 2013 Mets 8x10
Colon on 2014 Mets 8x10 and card
Daniel Murphy 8x10
Granderson on Mets mini helmet
Jenrry Mejia 1/1
Ruben Tejada 1/1

I wasn't able to get Josh Edgin & Jeurys Familia. Lagares, Eric Campbell, Wright, Nieuwenheis, Harvey & Abreu were some not to sign. Was nice to get Duda and Colon. Haven't gotten Duda in 2 years. Next up, want to graph the Marlins on Friday and might goto the game Saturday. At the end of next week the Reds come in so we'll see about that. Thanks for reading.
